Royal Caribbean prohibited items
Security prohibits weapons, illegal drugs including marijuana, explosives, heating appliances, irons, steamers, extension cords and power strips.
- Questionable items are reviewed by ship security and may be denied, retained or confiscated.
- When security confiscates an item that may be returned, staff issue a receipt so the guest can retrieve it on disembarkation day.
Royal Caribbean luggage policy
Royal Caribbean publishes no strict cruise-luggage count or size box and permits a reasonable amount of luggage.
- Guests may carry bags onboard or check them before boarding; carry-on bags must fit the terminal x-ray machine or be checked.
- Only TSA-approved luggage locks may be used, and Royal Caribbean recommends carrying documents, medication, a change of clothes and swimwear.
Royal Caribbean dress code by night
Casual and smart-casual nights alternate with one to four suggested Dress Your Best nights, depending on sailing length.
- Five-night cruises list one Dress Your Best night; 6-10 nights list two; 11-14 nights list three; 15 or more nights list three to four.
- Bare feet are prohibited and tank tops are not permitted at dinner in the main dining room or specialty venues.
Royal Caribbean what the stateroom supplies
Staterooms provide a hair dryer.
- A personal hair dryer may be prohibited depending on its specifications because the stateroom already supplies one.
- Irons, steamers, tea kettles, rice cookers and other small appliances that produce heat or steam are not allowed.
