Viking prohibits firearms, ammunition, weapons, illegal drugs including marijuana and CBD oil, explosives and other flammable or hazardous items.
- Viking's luggage-loading list also prohibits knives and scissors with blades over 3 inches, coffee makers, heating appliances, extension cords and surge-protected devices.
- The same list permits curling irons, disposable razors, knitting needles and medically required syringes.

- Baggage stored in the stateroom must fit under the bed or in the provided storage.
- Every bag must be labelled with the guest name, ship, cabin number and sailing date.

Viking has no formal nights; evening dress is Elegant Casual in dining venues, performances and special events.
- Evening attire is a dress, skirt or slacks with a blouse or sweater, or trousers with a collared shirt; ties and jackets are optional.
- Jeans are excluded from evening venues except the casual World Cafe.
Viking Ocean Cruises what the stateroom supplies
Every Viking Ocean stateroom has a private veranda, king-size bed, large shower, heated bathroom floor, LCD television, multiple US and European outlets, USB ports and 24-hour room service.
- Viking describes its bath products as premium and designed for easy opening and reading.
- Viking Mira Veranda staterooms specifically list a hair dryer, Freyja toiletries, robes, slippers, a safe, 110V and 220V outlets, USB ports and under-bed suitcase storage.
