Hersheypark bag size limit

Hersheypark publishes no general bag-size maximum, and all hand-carried items are subject to search.

  • Backpacks and belt bags are included.
  • Metal detection may be used.
  • The park recommends leaving non-essential items in the vehicle and provides storage at outside picnic areas.

Hersheypark prohibited items

Weapons, laser pointers, sound-emitting devices, skate shoes, illegal substances and outside alcohol are prohibited.

  • Most rides prohibit loose hand-held items.
  • Ride-specific rules are posted on each attraction page.

Hersheypark food and drink policy

Guests may bring one sealed plastic water bottle per person or an empty refillable bottle; other outside food and drinks are not permitted.

  • Small amounts of food are allowed for allergies or dietary restrictions, but hard-sided coolers and glass are prohibited.
  • Free water and ice are available at Pepsi Fast Fill stations, and park-owned food locations provide complimentary cups of water on request.
  • Outside alcoholic beverages are prohibited.

Hersheypark lockers

Day lockers are located around the park, and complimentary ride lockers serve five named attractions.

  • Day lockers are first come, first served, rented by the day and accept credit cards.
  • Day lockers are inside the park entrance, in Hershey's Chocolatetown and at several Boardwalk locations.
  • Complimentary lockers serve Candymonium, Reese's Cupfusion, Wildcat's Revenge, Skyrush and sooperdooperLooper.
  • No personal belongings are permitted on those rides, and late retrieval fees apply.

Hersheypark strollers and wheelchairs

Personal strollers and wagons are allowed subject to search; rentals cost $20 single, $25 double or $30 wagon.

  • Rentals are first come, first served, and personal strollers and wagons are subject to search.
  • Manual wheelchairs cost $35 and adult electric convenience vehicles cost $70; both have a 500-pound limit.
  • Wheelchair and electric-convenience-vehicle rentals are in Chocolatetown beside the Ticketing Services Building.

Hersheypark publishes no general maximum bag box. These compact day bags fit a conservative 18 x 14 x 8 inch benchmark, but security and attraction-specific rules still apply.
