Universal publishes no general backpack size box, but suitcases, wheeled bags, hard coolers and large soft coolers are prohibited.
- Soft insulated bags must be no larger than 8.5 x 6 x 6 inches.
- All visitors pass through metal detection, and bags, backpacks and purses are subject to x-ray or additional inspection.
- Bags should not be left unattended.
Universal Studios Hollywood prohibited items
Weapons, explosives, fireworks, alcohol, cannabis, glass, hard coolers and wheeled bags are prohibited.
- Drones and other controlled flying devices require express written permission.
- Selfie sticks may enter the park but must be stowed during rides, attractions and the Studio Tour.
- Hoverboards are prohibited; Segways are allowed only when used as an accessibility device.
Universal Studios Hollywood food and drink policy
Guests may bring up to 2 liters of bottled water, small snacks and food for medical, dietary or infant needs.
- Large coolers and open containers are prohibited.
- Soft insulated bags must fit the 8.5 x 6 x 6 inch limit.
- Baby formula and medically indicated nutritional supplements are allowed.

All-day lockers cost $8, $12 or $15, depending on size, with unlimited access.
- Lockers accept cash and credit cards.
- Availability is limited.

Guests may bring a stroller or rent a single or double stroller after entering the park.
